teamuncoolfashion likes: "mastermind JAPAN and adidas"

Having previewed this collaboration between mastermind JAPAN and adidas, which is part of the adidas FOOTBALL STYLE initiative here is a more defining look. With the adidas FOOTBALL STYLE initiative set to make a huge impression from June 16 through to June 22 at Isetan Shinjuku, Tokyo I am certain this shoe will attract a lot of attention.

teamuncoolfashion likes: Y-3 Honja Hi

We’ve not really covered a lot of Y-3 — there’s always been too much branding on everything for our taste — but we just had a pair of black sneakers up that we think are super hot. And, we got our hands on another pair of Y-3’s called the Honja Hi (retail $260) in navy that we haven’t seen until now.

They kinda remind us of Common Projects, but half the price without sacrificing any of the style. These are sick!

The skate shoe grows up. The adidas Y-3 Honja Hi is our freshest and most popular silhouette. This mid-cut sneaker looks sleek thanks to the hidden lacing system, clean lines and foxing tape finishing.

Team Uncool Wears: Adidas Jeremy Scott

Recently we hit 'Swallows inn' in the delapadated dark old China Town in the Johannesburg CBD. Theres nothing better than cheap food and prancing around with some clothing we cant afford on. Anyways, we where joined by artist Kudzanai Chiurai, writer Montle Moorosi & our very own Bee Diamondhead.

Check out the snaps.

For his S/S2010 Originals by Originals collection which is being previewed now during Paris Fashion Week at the adidas Originals Paris showroom, fashion’s wild child Jeremy Scott returns with the acclaimed glamour and opulence from his first two collections for ObyO. adidas Originals hits Joburg

2009 marks the 60th anniversary of the iconic 3-Stripes adidas Originals brand logo, first introduced by company founder Adi Dassler. To commemorate this momentous occasion adidas Originals unveiled a fresh collection globally that celebrates and reflects six decades of the brand’s rich heritage and lifestyle credentials with the “60 years of Soles and Stripes” campaign.

For consumers “60 Years of Soles and Stripes” means a year-long celebration of product introductions that has something for everyone and for those of you in Joburg it means a new adidas Originals concept store that opened in Melrose Arch on Thursday, 3rd June.

The Originals brand is notoriously cutting edge and has collaborated with the likes of Jam Master Jay and Run DMC, Robbie Williams, Missy Elliott and other icons of modern day street culture in its past. The adidas mantra of ‘every range has a story’ is gospel with Originals – think Mr Men, adiColor, Stan Smith, FAFI and Ali by adidas – all perfectly executed brand partnerships and creative campaigns. This defines the adidas Originals brand and way of life. Creative conceptualisation and execution from the clothing, shoes and apparel to the print ads with a street inspired cutting edge, all represented by the instantly recognisable Trefoil logo; first introduced in 1972.

The new Originals store is 180sqm and can be found at Shop HL63, Melrose Arch Piazza, Melrose Arch Boulevard, Melrose North. You can contact the store on 011-684 2744.
