Should pass you up in less than 12 hours now :D
Yeah, tell me about it :(
But on the other hand, I already passed a lot of people in the meantime. To bad I can't use any of the Dell's at work, then I could have given you a run for your money. They new ones are all i7's at 2,93 GHZ with a good GPU, 8 GB of ram and SSD's. So, CPU and GPU folding possible. But we need the processing power ourselves as we're a big architectural firm and need to keep the power usage as low as we can as we're already maxed (old building and the city just can't provide us with more power).:(

I love how in our industry, when we raise a price, we have to justify it to the customer start to finish, across every presence imaginable, media, events, etc... cost of materials, availability during wartime, tighter environmental standards, labor cost increase, having not made an adjustment to the price in nearly a decade despite inflation and other factors... before we'll be able to make a 5% increase to the price and not lose all our customers.
It must be nice to be a telecom company and just toss out huge arbitrary pricing changes without any justification.
Wow, what industry are YOU in? Most industries don't have to explain anything to customers/clients especially when prices have remained stable for as long as you claim.

Easiest solution would be for Google to port their current maps and navigation software to iOS. Not that Apple would allow it, and not that Google would want to do it :). I love competition...

Bertrand Serlet, senior vice president of Mac Software Engineering, will be departing the company in order to "focus less on products and more on science"
He's moving to Aperture Science. Look at him still designing when there's Science to do.

Seriously, the iOS maps app is so unreliable. Sometimes it's super fast and sometimes (i.e. whenever I really need it quickly) it lags so bad, doesn't load maps or traffic info, takes forever to get directions, etc, and basically makes me want to throw my iPhone out the window. The maps app needs a serious reliability overhaul.
Also, what is so bad about the iOS notification system? I just hit "Close" if I don't care about a notification at that time.

The event in itself is incredibly despicable and very sad, but to add insult to injury by saying something unbelievably stupid and downright mean? Seriously do these people think before they speak? All I can say is wtf is wrong with people.

ok, i got a new m100 bt earpiece (i swear, i ONLY use it when i'm at my desk; never on the street LOL).
it automatically put a battery icon on my status bar. am impressed...is it coming from the earpiece itself? it's only there (of course) when the m100 is connected.
any way to hide/disable/kill it? i don't understand how it gets there (so can't figure out how to remove it).
thanx, am scratching my head...

, but when a woman finds herself violated or raped after dressing up like a Las Vegas showgirl on a coffee break she shouldn't be surprised of being accused having instigated it in some way.
She maybe shouldn't be surprised but that doesn't make the accusation any less wrong.
If you walk through a bad neighborhood at 3:00AM and you are robbed and murdered your behavior was certainly unwise. Does that mean you hold responsibility for your murder?
Would you suggest that we vindicate your attacker because you made a bad decision?

While I'd love to see more Mac related articles, it's not like MR is holding them back. The site has always been about Apple and Apple news. Apple has more than one product line now.
I know...but this place is called Mac Rumors...not Apple Rumors...and not Mac (and other stuff) Rumors. The site states "MacRumors.com is a website focused on Apple news and rumors. " but I would agree with a lot of other people that so much of this news is 8 degrees from truly Apple news. Firefox news? Come on. Lines forming at select Apple stores? Sheeez. Don't litter this site with QUANTITY...fill it with QUALITY.

Good point... I hadn't considered the battery time. By this time next year, the memory chips will definitely be a lot cheaper so 2G (or more) will be easily do-able in something as small as the Shuffle for a decent price. Hopefully the battery life can be improved as well. Not much use being able to store 36 hours of music and not being able to listen to it.
Then definitely steer cleer of the 60GB iPod.
Seriously, wanting a correlation between total song time and single-session battery life is a bit off IMO.
Everybody WANTS it....but reality says otherwise.
