I found out on Facebook that it was fashion week in Pakistan and Indonesia this week and I was anxious to ooh and aah at the pretty fabrics (I'm a textiles junkie). Although I didn't get my socks knocked all of the way off, I was extremely pleased with the color patterns and the drama of some of the not-so-ready-to-wear items as evidenced by the photo above. (I wonder about the significance of the head piece, but I guess that's the whole idea.) I also enjoyed the patterns and styling of the homage to hippies, but I'm a California girl, so what can I say? I guess hippy-dom is universal. ::: Flashing a peace sign. :::
I've picked a few of my favorite photos (it's Foto Friday!) to show you here, but you can see the slide show in its entirety here. Enjoy...
