 | Born in Copenhagen and grew up in Sweden in the archipelago outside Gothenburg. Graduated from Uppsala University and then managed the Ceramics Department at Medborgar skolan in Uppsala for a few years before working as a ceramic designer at the Tao Fong Shan mission in Hong Kong. After Hong Kong, she spent the next five years travelling, making a living as a free lance journalist and photographer before moving to Napa Valley in California. Now lives st Hastings in East Sussex. Her work is hand built using a mixture of press moulding, slab building, carving and coiling techniques. Making torsos, she celebrates the Great Goddess Gaia in her various forms again and again, tracing plants, animals, birds and insects onto her skin. |
